The Deep Enders audiobook is out now (Audible and Google Play) and will also be distributed in US libraries through Hoopla.
It took me ages to get around to this project and, then once I’d started, it took far too long to finish! I chose to narrate the book myself to capture the Aussie vernacular and emphasise elements that really mattered to the story. We have all the recording equipment & studio thanks to our YouTube channel … but boy oh boy was it a LOT of work!
Anyway it’s all finished now & it turned out great. The most satisfying part was seeing my 9-yo son listen to The Deep Enders for the first time over the course of a week, getting swept up as the tale unfolded. (He’s now a fan).
So if you want to listen, here’s the links:
The ebook is also available through Hoopla for libraries. Hope you love it!
.
Just a heads up, the book isn’t available on Audible as of December 17th.
Hi Laura, apologies for not replying. It was such an ordeal getting the book on Audible this time, due to issues that I had with my original publisher in the US. All sorted now! I’ll include the link below: https://www.audible.com.au/pd/The-Deep-Enders-Deadline-Audiobook/B0GXBSVWBH?qid=1791931356&intent=discovery&sr=1-2&ref_pageloadid=nE5fvy9NhwkytQcf&pf_rd_p=771c6463-05d7-4981-9b47-920dc34a70f1&pf_rd_r=WGJKGB9MFY933R9MM6B8&plink=x1nHVb0CuVM2Xze9&pageLoadId=B7AFOSZNFobNgvUi&creativeId=adcc4fec-4d90-49d1-997e-8be21d68ce7f&ref=a_search_c3_lProduct_1_2
Hi Dave! I just finished listening to The Deep Enders audiobook. What a great book. I enjoyed the story all the way through and surprised myself by sinking in so deep into the book. The characters were so interesting and fun! I haven’t been so excited to finish a book in years. You’ve kindled an interest in Australia in me and I never knew WW2 even touched Australia before listening to your book. Thanks a bunch for writing it, I hope you record an audiobook for the sequel too.
Hi Elizabeth, sorry it took me so long to reply & thank you for the terrific feedback. I’m so happy that you enjoyed the audiobook. In answer to your question, yes the second book is now out as an audiobook too! I’ll include the link below. Hope you enjoy it just as much 🙂 https://www.audible.com.au/pd/The-Deep-Enders-Deadline-Audiobook/B0GXBSVWBH?qid=1778842298&sr=1-1&ref_pageloadid=not_applicable&pf_rd_p=771c6463-05d7-4981-9b47-920dc34a70f1&pf_rd_r=945HFZXDZBNX6VQGK6CX&plink=9CXp1dotj2Q0PnmA&pageLoadId=5HnWkr9SCLw2fzh8&creativeId=adcc4fec-4d90-49d1-997e-8be21d68ce7f&ref=a_search_c3_lProduct_1_1
