Big congrats to my amazing wife Ann who has just won a Taste Award for the Best Food Program on the web!
Ann has spent the past 5 years building www.howtocookthat.net and associated YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/howtocookthat.
It’s been a great story so far with over 2.2 million subscribers and 18 million views each month – not bad for an Aussie cooking show that still happens right in our family kitchen!
Anyway, so it was a real thrill over the weekend when we found out HowToCookThat had won the viewers’ choice category for BEST FOOD PROGRAM.
In a time when online video is so overcrowded with copyright theft (I’m looking at you Facebook and Dailymotion) and big media corporations are rushing to squeeze out small creators, it’s refreshing to know that the audience is still able to spot genuine talent and hard work amidst all the noise.
